Mushrooms are likely my favourite subject - They've been a recurring theme in my work since youth and I never seem to get tired of exploring the thousands of species. This has inspired me to learn more of this endless universe and I'd love to do so together!

THIS CLASS WOULD PAIR WELL WITH A REPUTABLE MUSHROOM FORAGING COURSE (DRAWING HELPS OUR MEMORY WHEN WE LEARN AND NOTHING BEATS REAL LIFE REFERENCE!)

PLEASE NOTE: THIS CLASS WILL HAVE NO MATERIAL REGARDING CONSUMPTION OF MUSHROOMS -PLEASE CONSULT A MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL FOR THAT.

I JUST LIKE LOOKING AT THEM AND DRAWING THEM, I DON'T EVEN LIKE THE TASTE - ASK A PROFESSIONAL

For mushroom identification, see national audubon society's field guide to mushrooms and cross reference (there are many look alikes!)

We will be pulling reference and information from:
  • NATIONAL AUDUBON SOCIETY'S FIELD GUIDE TO MUSHROOMS
  • NATIONAL AUDUBON SOCIETY'S pocket guide to familiar mushrooms
  • fantastic fungi
  •  New York Botanical Garden's 100 common mushrooms of north america
